Failure to Launch

After much thought and hair pulling, I've decided to take a break from writing and reassess my goals. It seems the past few months I've been writing in limbo, nothing seems to click anymore, and the burning desire to publish seems to have burnt out. I know a lot of writers experience this, and take time to step away and reevaluate their approach to writing. I feel I jumped into blog mode long before I got my writing sea legs, so my plan is to put the horse in front of the cart and slowly start at square one again.

This may seem discouraging because it appears I'm doing things at a snail's pace, but that is usually how I operate. I never want to approach anything in a half way manner. I always have my ducks in a row before I try to make a statement.

I'll check in from time to time, and I'll still be floating around in cyber space researching and finding my way in the great big world of writing.

So this is not goodbye, it's hello until we meet again.

See, I told you you couldn't get rid of us. Take all the time you need. I'm often feeling exactly like you describe. In fact, a couple months ago I wrote a similar blog. Then I thought a little more and decided it's all up to me. If I want to take this slow and even have periods of nothing, that's just fine.

I do hope you won't be a stranger. We miss you already!

LOL! I'm with Terri. Take your time is right. There really isn't a timetable out there for all of this. Just do what's best for you.

We do miss you already though.
